About Clark Robertson

I am a psychotherapist and accredited clinical supervisor based in Perth. I offer individual counselling, couples counselling, and clinical supervision online and in person.

My work is grounded, thoughtful, and direct. I work with people who are dealing with anxiety, stress, grief, relationship difficulties, trauma related concerns, and recurring emotional or behavioural patterns. Therapy provides a confidential space to understand these difficulties more clearly and to work towards meaningful change.

A key feature of my practice is the option of extended 90 minute sessions. I find that longer sessions can provide more time to settle into the work, explore complex issues in greater depth, and reduce the stop start feeling that can occur when therapy is limited to shorter appointments. For some people, this creates a more useful pace and a greater sense of continuity.

Over the course of almost a decade in practice, I have worked with individuals and couples across a wide range of personal and relational difficulties. My approach is informed by clinical experience, careful reflection, and attention to the realities people face in everyday life.

Alongside my psychotherapy work, I have experience as an Event Health Officer with St John Ambulance WA. That background has strengthened my respect for calm, practical thinking under pressure and informs the way I work with people facing distress, uncertainty, and crisis.

I am also an author. My writing reflects my broader interest in responsibility, clarity, and the ways people make sense of their lives. While therapy is not the same as philosophy, I value clear thinking and honest examination in the consulting room.

As an accredited clinical supervisor, I provide supervision for practitioners seeking a reflective and professionally grounded space to think through clinical work, ethical issues, and professional development.

If you are looking for counselling or supervision in Perth, or online, you are welcome to get in touch.

Ipse Imperium: Freedom Begins where Illusion Ends

In a world engineered to keep us distracted, compliant, and chained to limiting beliefs, true freedom isn't found in external change, it's forged in the mind. Ipse Imperium is a bold, no-nonsense manifesto for self-mastery: a practical roadmap to shatter imposed illusions, dismantle avoidance and excuse-making, and step into sovereign control over your thoughts, emotions, and life direction.

Drawing deeply from Stoic discipline (enduring what cannot be changed while mastering what can), Buddhist insight into the nature of attachment and impermanence, and battle-tested strategies for mental resilience, the book delivers tools to:

  • Expose and dismantle self-deceptive patterns that sabotage growth

  • Cultivate unshakeable calm amid chaos and manipulation

  • Take radical personal responsibility without blame or victimhood

  • Build the inner sovereignty needed to live authentically and powerfully

This isn't gentle self-help, it's a confrontational wake-up call for those ready to stop hiding from reality. Transformation begins where comfort ends, and freedom begins where illusion ends.

At ItzurMind, these same principles form the foundation of high-impact psychotherapy for individuals and couples. Sessions are direct, practical, and intense: we expose illusions without sugar-coating, challenge avoidance and excuses head-on, and demand the accountability required for lasting change. Whether through 90-minute deep-dive sessions that allow full processing and integration, or targeted work in shorter formats, the goal is the same, freeing the mind, releasing resistance, and empowering you to live with clarity, resilience, and genuine dominion over your inner world.

The book serves as both companion and extension to this therapeutic approach: read it to deepen your understanding, prepare for the unsettling but liberating work ahead, or reinforce the insights gained in counselling. Ideal for clients committed to real progress and practitioners seeking to align their own inner sovereignty with professional integrity.
